Challenges...

Firstly, I wanted to say that I was hoping that goal setting would be something important to most people, but it's one of those crucial things that people look over easily. Maybe since I made the format so specific, it was like an assignment more than anything. Regardless, goal setting can really help you achieve what you have in mind. Having a clear picture WITH words of what you want can do amazing things in helping you get there. Anyway....that's my rant about the previous post.

Now, for the next thing...I am sure everyone faces so many challenges when it comes to weight loss or just healthy living--be they little or huge. It helps so much to get insight from other on how they have successfully overcome their challenges and not let them become excuses.

So, here's the thing for today: what are your challenges. If there are too many (as always!) then think of one or two things that you think effect your progress the most. Something that you think if you eliminated could make a huge difference to help you get to your goals.

My challenge is always not drinking enough water. Sometimes I just don't feel like drinking it, sometimes I don't have a water bottle handy, and other times it's some other random excuse. I have yet to overcome this problem...I kind of know what to do, but I am bad at applying it practically in my daily routine. Also, my other challenge is focusing on one thing at a time. It always seems like there is so much to fix and everything needs to be fixed all at once or it's no use. I think focusing on one small goal at a time is a better way to go over the long run, so I have to change my thinking when it comes to all this.

I look forward to reading your challenges and any suggestions you may have for me :)

  1. For your water challenge, I would like to suggest flavored waters. Think Crystal Light or some other low (or no) calorie drink mixes. I hate water. I really do. If someone hands me a glass of water, I'll probably say I'm not thirsty. If they hand me a glass of calorie-free fruit punch, I'll probably down the whole thing. I still probably don't drink the 64 oz. a day I'm supposed to, but I get closer when I have flavored water than when I have nothing but plain water.
